A great trip interstate on the weekend with 3 horses at the Equestriad National Championships in Camden. It is always good to have a challenge and this super event certainly provides that!
The star of the team was Woodmount Lolita, who felt amazing all weekend and led from start to finish in the EvA95A class!! This mare continues to impress me getting stronger and better at each event, she has placed at every event with me this year but chose a good time to pull out the win at the National Championships! Thankyou to Paige Burfurd for allowing me to take her interstate and trusting us with her.
Eventing showed itself to be a humbling sport again for me in the 2 star with Calypso, going from a close second by 0.1 penalties 2 weeks ago at Wandin to coming dead last this weekend! The good part is we finished and we are both fit and healthy and so we train on even harder for next time!
Koyuna Tactician did a nice dressage test but dropped an uncharacteristic 3 rails in jumping on Saturday night under lights so he had a safe run on cross country on Sunday without pushing for time and finished mid field.
Thanks to Jessica Kealy for making the trek with us to groom and help out!
