We had 4 quality horses out at Wandin Park IHT but it was Delure who got best on ground for me! A tactful extremely slow run at Tonimbuk, to build his confidence, paid dividends at Wandin as he finished on his dressage score (the only horse in the section to do so) of 26.9 to win his CCN1* class! This little future superstar felt incredible in all 3 phases and can’t thank Fiona Mitchell enough for backing and trusting me to bring him on.
Cascabel also put in a great performance in the CCN1* with some green moments on XC showing his inexperience but also finished free of jumping faults for the Cascabel Syndicate!
Wimborne Conjuror started the event with 2 great first phases and was storming around the cross country course like a boss until around two thirds of the way through he was telling me something wasn’t quite right so I made the decision to pull him up and save his legs. He has recovered sound and happy as we revise his Adelaide prep.
And the strong performances continue for Santoro who makes it 2 for 2 CCI4* wins this year! All eyes turn to Adelaide 5* now…
