What an amazing time we had at the Australian International 3 Day Event!

In a field of almost 50 riders in the CCI** we were in 6th place after a fairly solid dressage test and went into the lead after an almost perfect cross country round. Although we had trained hard for the showjumping and I tried to ride what I had on the day as best I could, Calypso had a stop and rails that dropped us out of the placings and into 23rd overall. I can’t wait to get other horses up to this level to do it all again hopefully leaving more rails up next time!

So many people to thank for their help on our journey!!

No words can describe the effort, support and encouragement Will Enzinger constantly shows, I hope I did you proud.

Thanks to my Dad Mark Jeffree for all you do behind the scenes to keep everything ticking over so well and looking after the most horses he ever has had to while I was away!

To the organising committee, volunteers and event sponsors – thank you for the amazing opportunity you give us to be able to ride in such a well run event and amazing venue. Having never been to the event before we were blown away with everything and will definitely be back!

Cathy Oates was brilliant as always in the lead up and on site constantly helping so many.

It was a privilege to be assisted at the event by Nina Clarke who helped me keep my head and helped cement my plan at each stage.

Janet McPherson Houghton for all of your hard work supporting and making sure all of the Victorian eventers have the best opportunities possible.

I also appreciated all the hard work Michele Geoffrey Towb put in over the weekend, thank you for flying over to groom for the weekend and be my slave! I hope you will come back with us next year!

A massive thank you to my personal sponsors too, some of whom have been with me for the entire 5-year journey with Calypso, I am indebted to you all for everything you do to support me.

Although Calypso is not perfect he is a much-loved part of our team and I am very grateful of what he gives me the opportunity to do and what I have learnt. To get to Adelaide was an achievement in itself and to do our best was fantastic. I know I can use this experience in so many ways to help me reach my long-term goals!

In the meantime, I will be holding on to that post cross-country feeling as long as I can!
