Cold morning starts were totally forgiven at Ballarat Horse Trials last week when they were followed by beautiful sunny days! In the CCI4star both Wimborne Conjuror and Santoro had a few fizzy moments in the dressage on Saturday. On the whole they both jumped well overall despite some rails on both horses and Sammy taking out a frangible pin during his cross-country round – they finished in 5th and 6th place. Santoro and Wimborne Conjuror looking fabulous at Wandin CCI! They jumped clear around the cross country and both ended up in the placings! All the while I was feeling safe and comfortable in my One K helmet, complete with the lastest MIPS technology, from EQ Saddlery. Wimborne Caitlin was bred by Wimborne Park stud in 2017, and Sam purchased her directly from there in September 2020 when she was just turning 3. Caitlin is full sister to the 4star Wimborne Conjuror. At the time of her purchase Victoria was in the grip of Covid lockdowns but Sam was convinced this filly has what it takes to go all the way to the top. Koyuna Tactician and Santoro pull off a double win in the 3* and 2* at Tonimbuk Horse Trials Inc! All of the horses had a fantastic event and had some incredible results along the way! Woodmount Lolita placed 2nd in the 4*, just 0.5 penalties behind the leader narrowly missing out on the trifecta!! Kenlock Cadillac completed his first 3* in third position!
