Another super event for Jeffree Eventing on the weekend where I rode 6 horses. Firstly a big thankyou to the organising committee of Tonimbuk Horse Trials for everything they had to deal with, and ensuring that riders and horses remained safe in some trying conditions.
Woodmount Lolita was once again the star of the stable! She put together three lovely phases and took out the win in the CCI3* class. She will now make the exciting step up to 4* at Wandin in two weeks time!
Koyuna Tactician was back in full force in the CCI2* giving me an excellent feel all weekend. As I went very slow we picked up time penalties on cross country dropping us out of the placings.
For Wimborne Conjuror, also in the CCI2*, it wasn’t his favourite event with him getting quite tense in the indoor arena and dropping an out of character rail. He did redeem himself in the cross country and put in a super round.
Santoro is really proving his maturity and progression as he excelled over the weekend in the CCN1* finishing in 7th. Putting two fantastic jumping rounds together we have decided he is ready to step up to 2* at Wandin!
My newest ride MP Worldmaster in the EvA80 class also found the indoors daunting and as a result of this tension he dropped a rail in the showjumping but gained some great experience that will serve him well down the track!
Also in the EvA80, La Vie En Rose was great all weekend. She was consistent and tried in all three phases. Unfortunately with the slower speed on cross country her pilot picked up some time penalties dropping her down to 5th. She is also stepping up at Wandin to EvA95 and will be coming up for sale soon!
