TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!

We always have a wonderful time at Wandin Horse Trials, and this year for the Australian Eventing Championships was no exception. We had 5 horses competing there this weekend.

Sam rode:
Jaybee Calypso in the CCI*** class with great results in the dressage and cross country but the showjumping pulling him down to mid-field
– the ever consistent Woodmount Lolita in the CCI** class to take out a win after completing the event with no jump or time faults
Wimborne Conjuror in the EvA95 who was tense in his dressage but also finished on his dressage score to end in 8th place.
– and Rachael Edwards much-loved Mr Spot for his first EvA95 appearance, he showed he was well and truly ready for this level with just his 1 rail in showjumping costing him a placing.

Wendy rode Wimborne Condor in the EvA65 and could not be happier with him.

It takes many hands behind the scenes at any event and this weekend was no exception! Thank you to Michele Geoffrey Towb who worked hard all weekend and despite taking a tumble did a great job training Teddy in the EvA65.
Elise Watkins also helped tirelessly as well as kick some goals when she completed the EvA80 to plan on Johnny.
Being local meant we also enjoyed the company of lots of visitors! Thank you Michele Konheiser for the fabulous photos, it was great to also catch up with Kim Anning, Damian Salvatore, Sharon Geoffrey and Barbara Geoffrey. And to top it off it was lovely to have Lisa Rudelic come along to share the joy with Fiona Mitchell on Sunday as she watched her superstars go around.

Thanks must also go the wonderful committee who pulled the event off with record numbers – it is always so special to be galloping over the hallowed grounds of Big Wandin and we appreciate the work of all the volunteers who make this event possible.

We are grateful to our sponsors who always help us pull everything together!
