We always love Melbourne International 3 Day Event! Janet McPherson Houghton you once again did a fantastic job running a super event!

Our team had brilliant results, Woodmount Lolita maintained her impeccable record and took out the biggest win of her career to date in the CCI2*L, and the 2 6yo horses Santoro (Emma Riseley) and Wimborne Conjuror both in the placings (2nd and 4th) in the Young Event Horse class. Jaybee Calypso thoroughly enjoyed being the centre of attention in the 4star dressage demonstration too!

Of course these results do not happen overnight, they only happen when each part of the planning and preparation all fall into place. We are very appreciative of the work of many people that made this possible.

Will Enzinger has shaped Sam into the rider he is today and we are very grateful of his work all season as well as his help at the event too.

The Jeffree Eventing team at the event were fabulous! Elise Watkins for her grooming and giving Sam the ride on Johnny for the Sunday night showjumping entertainment. Michele Geoffrey Towb gave up her long weekend to come along to help out, and Alyce Perrey jumped in at the last minute to give a hand at cross country cool down.

Our horses were kept in tip-top form in the lead up to Melbourne thanks to the help of Elite Equine Veterinarians.
Edward Roberts has been patient with shoeing Lily as she is not always the easiest horse in the stable!
All horses looked amazing thanks to their James and Son Premium Horse Feed (Mi-Feed) diet of pellets and Hi Pro.
We are also thankful to have Cathy Oates, she does a superb job with the horses in the lead up and at the big events.
Lily’s coat looked fantastic thanks to Sinead Conlon and she certainly does justice to her beautiful Flexible Fit Equestrian leather gear!!

Our other sponsors continue to help in so many ways, Kim Anning at The Saddlery Shop is so patient with our fussy requests, Equus Rugs offers great local service for made-to-measure rugs and much more, and Natural Mobility are a joint care product we swear by.
We highly recommend Sharnika Design if you need any help with logos, website or marketing.

Full credit to Fiona Mitchell who took a leap of faith when we said Lily was going to be special!!

And although he was not at Melbourne, Mark Jeffree always works so hard for the horses behind the scenes, in fact we had the luxury of coming home after the event to a brand new retaining wall!

The horses will have a holiday now, but not Sam – he has arrived at Windurra USA and will be working with Boyd Martin over the winter break! In the meantime Mark and Wendy will keep things ticking over and look after the horses at home as well as continue to work on some property improvements.

Then before you know it we will be making plans for next season!
